Many people do alter their automail to have secondary functions as weapons, yes. I haven't seen ones that fire bullets personally, but hands that serve as pincers or blades are quite common.

Why, are you interested?

Whoa, snazzy

but no I don't think it would really go with the whole skin thing. as cool as wolverine claws are they're supposed to really hurt... but I mean if I can't fix the skin thing I might as well make the most of it right?

is automail pretty common where you're from?

Only for those who have lost limbs or those with enough funds and pain tolerance to afford additions to their person. Given the lifetime maintenance that comes with automail parts, along with the time required to gain functional use of those parts - usually around three years, if not more - it's not a popular choice for the average person.

[Not to scare you away or anything, Sigma. Though now she's curious.]

How long did it take to regain use of your arms?

yikes... but I guess I'd rather go three years without good arms than the rest of my life, even if they need tune-ups.

Uh... I want to say about four months? it might have been shorter idk, honestly the time after I lost them is a huge blur, but when things get clear again they worked pretty well, and that was about four months.

[ Not entirely true, but probably the easiest way to put it. ]

technology's pretty crazy, huh?
